An ideal knife starter set, this dynamic duo comprises two of our most popular knives in smaller, more nimble sizes. There’s a petite, 6-inch chef’s knife ideal for everyday slicing, dicing and mincing, plus a versatile serrated sandwich knife perfect for cutting crusty bread, sandwiches, tomatoes and bagels. (The latter has a round, broad, blade for spreading, too; it’s the knife equivalent of the everything bagel!) Both knives are forged from 67 layers of Japanese Damascus steel for a harder blade–a 60 Rockwell rating–and a sharper edge that stays sharp longer, for effortless slicing. What's Included: 6-inch chef’s knife is a smaller, more agile chef’s knife for everyday prep. 5-inch sandwich knife has scalloped serrations designed to cut through the crispy, soft crust of breads and bagels, and effortlessly through delicate-skinned fruits and vegetables. Knives utilize the 3-step Honbazuke sharpening method–plus an advanced heat treatment to enhance hardness and corrosion resistance–resulting in a super-sharp, 12-degree edge. Arched design and amazing ergonomic grip features a unique green Pakkawood handle, infused with resin to increase resistance to moisture, cracking and splintering.

Just got the set and the 6-inch chef's knife is already my go-to for dicing onions - the grip feels secure and it's surprisingly lightweight. Really impressed with how well it keeps an edge after a week of daily use. Perfect for someone like me who wanted good knives without the full-sized heft.

Sophia ★★★★★

My wife always complained that kitchen knives were too big for her hands, but these 6-inch chef's knife and paring knife are perfectly nimble — the Damascus steel pattern is beautiful and it holds an edge remarkably well after daily use for two weeks. She’s been prepping vegetables faster than ever with the smaller, more controllable blade.

Finally, a set that doesn't feel oversized for everyday tasks. The 6-inch chef's knife glides through onions without making me tear up, and the smaller size actually makes mincing garlic feel effortless.

Harper Q. ★★★★★

The 6-inch chef's knife is perfectly balanced for my smaller hands, and it handled dicing onions with zero resistance right out of the box. I was surprised by how sharp the edge stayed after a full week of meal prep.

My veggie prep just got a lot faster—the 6-inch chef knife cuts through bell peppers like they're butter. The Damascus pattern looks even better in person than in the pictures too.

Just received this set and was honestly surprised by how sharp both knives are straight out of the box. The smaller chef's knife makes quick work of dicing onions without any struggle, and the balance feels great for a compact blade.

George ★★★★☆

The smaller chef's knife handles dicing onions much better than my old full-sized one, and the blade feels nicely balanced in hand. The pairing with the other knife makes this a practical starter set without unnecessary extras.

The smaller size of the 6-inch chef’s knife is perfect for my hands, and it keeps a sharp edge after weeks of use. The blade feels well-balanced, though the handle could be slightly more ergonomic for extended chopping sessions.
