I've been using this for weekly soup batches and the 8-quart capacity is perfect for leftovers. The lid fits snugly enough that I don't lose steam while simmering, which really speeds up cooking time.
The wide shape makes stirring thick chilis a breeze, and the lid fits so snugly that my soup barely loses any steam. Perfect for weekend meal prep.
I've been using this pot for big batches of chili and the heat distribution is noticeably even across the bottom, no scorching. The lid fits snugly, which keeps the steam in perfectly for slow simmering. Definitely a solid upgrade from my old thin-bottomed pot.
