The Damascus steel pattern is absolutely stunning, and the 60 Rockwell rating keeps this chef’s knife razor-sharp even after prepping a whole bag of onions. It feels perfectly balanced in my hand, not too heavy or light.
I’ve never felt a knife glide through a tomato this effortlessly—the Damascus steel edge is razor-sharp right out of the box. The handles have a nice weight that makes chopping feel controlled. Really solid set for the price.
The balance on these knives is perfect—they feel substantial but not heavy. I’ve been using the chef’s knife every day for a week and it’s still razor sharp, gliding through bell peppers like butter.
The 67-layer Damascus steel really holds an edge so well that I've been using the same knife for a week without needing a touch-up. The chef's knife glides through butternut squash like it's butter, and the carving fork is a nice bonus for roasts.
I was initially skeptical about the Damascus pattern being purely aesthetic, but after slicing through a butternut squash, the edge retention is clearly legit. The 60 Rockwell hardness bites through dense veggies with minimal effort. The only small gripe is the handles feel a bit slick with wet hands, but they’re comfortable enough for everyday use.
The knife set feels incredibly well-balanced, and the Damascus steel pattern is even more striking in person. I wish the included sharpening steel had a slightly better grip, but the blades themselves are razor-sharp out of the box.
Almost took a star off because the block feels a little light, but the knives themselves are razor-sharp out of the box. That 60 Rockwell rating really holds an edge after prepping a whole week of meals.
